International Student Admissions Process & Requirements
Step 1: MAIN APPLICATION
Complete the online application form or download the application form and mail or fax it to the Southeastern Bible College Admissions Office.
Step 2: APPLICATION FEE
An application fee of $30 must be submitted to the Admissions Office before your application will be processed. Payment can be made through our secure online payment process or by sending a check with your completed application.
Step 3: TESTIMONY
The Testimony and Ministry Goals form addresses your personal salvation experience and understanding, as well as your current and future ministry goals. The goal is for us to learn more about your current walk with Christ and where you see him leading you. The Admissions Committee will review your responses and ability to express yourself through writing so please make your answers specific and concise.
Step 4: RECOMMENDATIONS
We require a recommendation from a church leader filled out on your behalf and returned to the Admissions Office. The church recommendation form should be completed by a leader in your current church or any previous church you have attended. Examples: Pastor, Youth Pastor, Worship Pastor, Elder, Small Groups Leader, Sunday School Teacher.
Step 5: TRANSCRIPTS
An official evaluation of your high school transcripts and any college credit taken at a college or university outside the United States must be completed by World Education Services or Education Credential Evaluators. SEBC requires a high school GPA of 2.5 or higher. Official transcripts from any college or university in the United States can be submitted directly to SEBC for evaluation. Step 6: STANDARDIZED TEST SCORE
If English is not your native language, a score report of the Test of English as Foreign Language (TOEFL) is required. SEBC requires a score of 500 or better on the written TOEFL, a score of 173 or better on the computer-based exam, or a score of 60 or better on the ITB TOEFL.
If English is your native language, either an ACT or SAT test score is required. SEBC requires a score of 19 or higher on the ACT or a score of 910 or higher on the SAT.
Step 7: CONSULTATION APPOINTMENT
All incoming students are required to complete a consultation appointment with their Admissions Counselor. The purpose of this appointment is to make sure that the program you have chosen meets your future ministry or business goals. During this appointment we will cover all the information needed to complete enrollment at SEBC.
Step 8: STATEMENT OF FINANCIAL SUPPORT
A completed Statement of Financial Support indicating that sufficient funds are available to pay the cost of attendance is required. SEBC also requires a deposit equal to 50% of the student’s estimated school bill for their first year be made before SEBC will issue an I-20 application.
Note: There is no financial aid program for international students at SEBC.
